RRB Teacher Recruitment 2025 - Eligibility Criteria
A total of 753 teaching vacancies are to be filled. Candidates applying for the Railway Teacher Exam 2025 must meet specific educational qualifications for various posts. The Railway Teacher eligibility criteria ensure that candidates are suitably qualified to deliver quality education in the Railway schools.
PGT (Post Graduate Teacher): Candidates must possess a Post-Graduation degree in the subject they wish to teach, ensuring advanced knowledge and expertise.
TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): Applicants are required to have a Graduation degree in the relevant subject, demonstrating a solid foundational understanding.
PRT (Primary Teacher): A Graduation degree is essential for Primary Teachers, emphasizing their capability to educate young students effectively.
Railway PRT Teacher Eligibility Criteria
The Railway Recruitment Board has revised the Eligibility Criteria for the Primary Teacher Post. As per the new notice, BEd Qualified candidates can no longer apply for the RRB PRT Recruitment 2025 (New). Candidates with DElEd, BElEd, and DEd (Special Education) are only eligible to apply for the Primary Teacher Posts for various subjects and mediums such as English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Science (English Medium), Maths (English Medium) and so on.
Railway PRT Teacher Eligibility Criteria Revised
Nationality Criteria
To be eligible, a candidate must meet one of the following criteria:
Be a citizen of India, or
Be a subject of Nepal, or
Be a subject of Bhutan, or
Be a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, to permanently settle in the country, or
Be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam, intending to settle permanently in India.
Note: Candidates falling under categories (2), (3), (4), and (5) must obtain a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
RRB Railway Teacher Age Limit
Candidates applying for the RRB Railway Teacher Post 2025 must be between 18 and 48 years old as of 1st January 2025 to meet the eligibility criteria.
