SSC CGL 2023 Exam
SSC CGL generally conducts exam after 2 to 3 months of notification date in 4 stages (Tiers), the first two exams are conducted on Online mode and latter two are on offline mode.

SSC CGL 2023 Salary Structure
The initial salary package of SSC CGL is about Rs. 40,000/- to 70,000/- per month depending on post, pay scale and city of posting that includes the Dearness Allowance and other benefits.

SSC CGL 2023 Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. of India in their favor.

SSC CGL Tier 3 is a descriptive based paper conducted offline which includes :
- Letter Writing
- Essay Writing
- Precis Writing
- Application Writing
Tier 3 is of 100 marks for 60 minutes. For visually challenged candidates and candidates suffering from cerebral palsy the time is extended upto 80 minutes. Tier 3 exam focuses on the writing capability of the candidate, the candidate can attempt the paper in English/Hindi. Minimum 33% of marks is required to qualify SSC CGl Tier 3 paper.
After the merit list is prepared of Tier 1, Tier 2 & Tier 3 the candidates are shortlisted to appear the SSC CGL Tier 4 exam which is purely a skill based test

- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
DEST is conducted for aspirants who have applied for the post of Tax Assistant in Income Tax & Central Excise. Data Entry speed is tested at 8000 key depressions per hour.
Likewise CPT is conducted for aspirants who have applied for the post of Assistant Section Officer in CSS only. Aspirants who appear for CPT have to showcase their comfort and easiness in operating computer.
