SSC CHSL SSC CHSL PA/SA (Postal/Sorting Assistant)

The Postal Assistant Exam is conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) for recruiting people for the post of Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistants. The notification for the Postal Assistant exam 2024 will be released soon. As a part of the recruitment process, candidates have to qualify for three exams for the Postal Assistant post. The first exam will be conducted online for 60 minutes and will have MCQ questions.

What is Postal Assistant Recruitment?

Postal Assistant or Sorting Assistant is a central government job, and it stands for a clerical post in a post office. SSC conducts the exam for the Postal Assistant post.

The recruitment process consists of three-level exams wherein the first exam is competitive, and the following two are qualifying exams. Candidates who wish to work at the post of postal assistant must qualify all three exams.

– OR a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently.

Educational Qualification– Must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Skill Test RequirementTyping Test: For the post of PA/SA, candidates must have a typing speed of:
– 35 words per minute (wpm) in English
– OR 30 wpm in Hindi.
Physical Standards– No specific physical standards are required for the PA/SA post.
