UPSC Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE)

Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) is a Group ‘A’ Engineering Service under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Officers in IDSE are responsible for managing infrastructure, construction, and maintenance works for Defence forces (Army, Navy, Air Force).

They work under Military Engineer Services (MES), which provides engineering support to India’s Armed Forces.
