ICAR ASSISTANT Application process
Step-1: Visit the official website of the ICAR Indian Agriculture Research Institute.
Step-2: Select Recruitment Cell>> Notice Board>> Assistant 2024 from the drop-down menu.
Step-3: On the screen, a new page appears.
Step-4: On the screen, the ICAR IARI Application form appears.
Step-5: Begin filling in the relevant information and attaching the documents in the appropriate size.
Step-6: Pay the application fee if one is required (if applicable)
Step-7: Only click the “Final Submit” button once you’re certain the information you’ve entered is correct.
Step-8: For future reference, print out the ICAR online application form.
ICAR ASSISTANT Selection Process
The candidates will be selected for the post of ICAR Assistant on the basis of a 3-stage selection process. The stages of the selection process will include the following.
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
- Skill Test

Preliminary Exam
- There will be a total of 100 objective-type questions that will be asked in the examination.
- Each shall carry two marks.
- A negative marking of ⅓ marks will be included for each wrong answer.
- The examination will be held for one hour.

Mains Examination
- The mains will be conducted through Paper-1 and Paper-2 respectively.
- Paper-1 will be of objective-type questions while Paper-2 will be descriptive-based.
- The examination will be held for 300 marks.
- A negative marking of ⅓ marks will be included for each wrong answer.

Skill Test
Candidates who have cleared the Preliminary and Mains examination will be qualified to appear in the Skill Test (Computer Proficiency Test), conducted by the selection committee. Candidates to have their names featured on the final Merit List must clear the Skill Test stage as well. The Skill Test will be conducted for 15 minutes, consisting of three modules;
- Word Processing,
- Spreadsheet, and
- Generation of Slides.
